Richard A. Beckmann

Richard Beckmann focuses his practice on the settlement and litigation of complex insurance coverage disputes.

Rich has over a decade of experience representing corporate policyholders in disputes with insurers over coverage for various types of claims, including environmental, asbestos, toxic tort, construction coverage, first-party property loss, directors and officers liabilities, business interruption, and event cancellation.  He has also litigated cases involving extra-contractual claims, such as bad faith and broker negligence.

Rich received his J.D., magna cum laude, in 2001 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he served as managing editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.  Prior to joining Hoke LLC, Rich was an associate in Covington & Burling LLP’s insurance recovery practice.  He is admitted to the Illinois bar.
